Repair Procedure

1.

Confirm the stored DTC using the Toyota Diagnostic Tester.

2.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2003 or 2004 model year Tacoma Repair Manual: Diagnostics: Engine (2RZ-FE, 3RZ-FE):
P0136.

3.

If NO trouble is found after performing the basic diagnostic checks for M.I.L. "ON" P0136, replace the Engine Control Module (ECM/PCM).
