TRAILER WIRE HARNESS ROUTING CHANGE

'01 Tacoma Double Cab

Introduction
For 2001 model year Tacoma Double Cab trucks with towing hitch accessory, the interior cab wire harness routing has been changed to eliminate a bulge
in the rear trim panel caused by the routing. The previous wire harness routing shortened the length causing the wire harness to pull on the rear trim
panel. The trailer hitch converter kit installation instruction has been modified to reflect this new routing.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

Revised Installation: The following demonstrates the revised routing along the vehicle driver side.

Secure the (13P) connector wire harness using 4 small plastic ties as shown.
