Introduction
Production changes have been implemented to improve the durability of the upper and lower radiator hoses installed on 4 cylinder Tacoma models.
Affected Vehicles

1996-1998 model year Tacomas with 4 cylinder engines:
NL42N, VL42N, PM62N, WM72N models with VIS codes after WZ133198 have the new style hoses installed.

Repair Procedure
Replace upper or lower radiator hose with parts produced after 4/20/98.
NOTE:
A date code is printed on the part to identity the production date as indicated in the illustration. The code will read "> EPDMK < 042098" for
4/20/98.
