Seat Belt Reminder Buzzer: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT SEAT BELT WARNING INTEGRATION RELAY OPERATION

1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 12 and negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 7.
2. Connect the terminal 2 to terminal 5 through the 3.4 W test bulb.
3. Connect the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
4. Check that the bulb lights and the chime sounds for 4 - 8 seconds.

5. Return to step (a) and operate the chime again.
6. Check that the buzzer does not sounds when disconnecting terminal 3 from the negative (-) lead.
7. Check that the chime stops sounding.

HINT:  Check the chime within a period of 4 to 8 seconds.

If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
