Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

Stabilizer Bar

REMOVAL

1. Remove front wheels.

Installation Hint:  Torque to 110 Nm (83 ft. lbs.) 

2. Disconnect stabilizer bar links. Remove the nuts and disconnect the stabilizer bar links from the lower suspension arm.

Removal Hint:  If the ball joint stud turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

Installation Hint:  Torque to 69 Nm (51 ft. lbs.) 

3. Remove stabilizer bar.

a. Remove the 4 bracket set bolts and stabilizer bar with the cushions and brackets.

Installation Hint:  Torque to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.)
