TITLE 
TOWING GUIDE

If towing of a vehicle is necessary, we recommend employing a Toyota dealer or commercial tow truck service to ensure compliance with Toyota towing
procedures is followed.

CAUTION:
Towing with a sling type tow vehicle may cause damage to bumpers and painted surfaces.

TOWING PRECAUTIONS:
Use a safety chain system for all towing, and abide by all state/provincial and local laws. The wheels and axles on the ground must be in good condition.
If they are damaged, use a towing dolly.

TOWING PROCEDURES FROM THE OWNERS MANUAL

Cressida

It is recommended that the vehicle be towed by a flatbed towing vehicle or a tow dolly whenever possible.

^

Vehicle should have the drive shaft disconnected and securely attached to the chassis if it is towed more than 50 miles or faster than 30 mph.

^

Automatic transmission fluid level must be in the hot temperature range on the dip stick.

^

Vehicle should not be towed from the rear without using a towing dolly for the front wheels.

^

If in an emergency situation towing with the front wheels on the ground is required, the key should be in the "ACC" position.

^

Vehicle should have the park brake released and the transmission placed in the Neutral position.

Camry*

^

It is recommended that the vehicle be towed by a flatbed towing vehicle or a tow dolly whenever possible.

Automatic transmission fluid level must be in the hot temperature range on the dip stick.

Vehicle should not be towed from the rear without using a towing dolly for the front wheels.
