Introduction

Engine Control Module (ECM) logic has been revised to prevent unnecessary M.I.L. "ON" conditions at high altitudes with diagnostic trouble codes
(DTC) P0130 and P0133, on vehicles operating at high altitudes.

Affected Vehicles

1995 and 1996 model year Tercels operated at altitudes higher than 5,900 feet (1,800 meters) above sea level.

Procedure

1.

If either DTC P0130 or DTC P0133 is found, confirm integrity of oxygen sensors and sensor wiring according to Repair Manual instructions.

2.

If components have no problems, replace the ECM using "NEW" part number listed in table.
