Axle Beam: Service and Repair

1.

Remove rear axle hubs.

2.

Remove left and right brake shoes.

3.

Disconnect parking brake from backing plate.

4.

Using suitable tool, disconnect brake tube from cylinder, then disconnect tube from axle beam.

5.

Remove backing plate.

6.

Remove lateral control rod attaching nut and bolt, then disconnect rod from body.

7.

Remove lateral rod from axle beam.

8.

Support axle beam, using suitable equipment.

9.

Remove shock absorber lower attaching nuts and bolts.

10.

Remove axle beam attaching nuts and bolts, then remove beam.

11.

Reverse procedure to install.
