Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

Measure clutch pedal height as shown, Fig. 1.
2.
On 1989-90 models, clutch pedal height should be 6.38-6.77 inch from floor board on clutch models El131-ZGKRSA and ZGKBSK. On all other
clutch models, clutch height should be 6.14-6.54 inch from asphalt sheet.

On 1991-93 models, clutch pedal height should be 5.69-6.08 inch on 4-speed transaxles and 5.51-5.91 inch on 5-speed transaxles, measured from
the asphalt sheet.

On all models, if clutch pedal height is not as specified, loosen clutch pedal locknut, then rotate stopper bolt on models less cruise control or
clutch switch on models with cruise control, until specified height is achieved.
5.
Tighten locknut.
6.
Check clutch pedal freeplay by depressing clutch pedal until resistance is felt. Freeplay should be .197-.591 inch. Pushrod play at top of pedal
should be .039-.197 inch.
7.
If necessary to adjust freeplay, loosen locknut and rotate pushrod until freeplay is as specified.
8.
Tighten locknut.
9.
Ensure clutch pedal height and freeplay are as specified, then reinstall air duct and finish panel.
