The forward bolt on the hood hinge is easily removed with an open-ended wrench. For easier removal of the rear bolt, use a 1/4-in drive wobble or
universal jointed socket.

Using a 3-mm punch, make a dimple into the top layer of the sheet metal adjacent to the hood hinge mounting hole closest to the windshield in the
location as shown in the illustration.

5.

Protect the bare metal spot with the appropriate touch-up paint or an available rust inhibitor.

6.

Reinstall the hinge and hood.

Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

7.

Check hood for proper alignment (adjust as necessary).
