Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair
Removal
CRUISE CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH: REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Steering Pad/Removal
3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Steering Pad/Removal
4. REMOVE STEERING PAD (w/o Steering Pad Switch) See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Steering Pad/Removal
5. REMOVE STEERING PAD (w/ Steering Pad Switch) See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Steering Pad/Removal
6. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 screws.
(c) Remove the switch, as shown in the illustration.
