2. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the propeller shaft for 2WD    See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Propeller Shaft Assembly/Removal.

(b) Remove the propeller shaft for 4WD    See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Propeller Shaft Assembly/Removal.

3. REMOVE REAR DRIVE PINION NUT

(a) Using SST and a hammer, loosen the staked part of the nut.

(b) Using SST to hold the companion flange, remove the nut.

4. REMOVE REAR DRIVE PINION COMPANION FLANGE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using SST, remove the companion flange.
