Seat Belt Tensioner: Removal and Replacement
SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER
REMOVAL
NOTE:
-
If the wiring connector of the seat belt pretensioner is disconnected with the ignition switch at ON or ACC, diagnostic trouble codes will be
recorded.

Never use seat belt pretensioner from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.
1. Standard cab:
REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT
a. Remove the 5 screws and front door scuff plate.
b. Remove the front pillar garnish.
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the caps.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. Using a torx driver, remove the torx screws and assist grip.
Torx driver: T30 (Part No. 09041-00030 or locally manufactured tool)
3. Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the back panel upper garnish.
