1. Remove the Air Valve, for the proper procedure see COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES.
2. Allow the Air Valve to cool ,if necessary, to a temperature of 68°F (20°C) or lower.
3. Observe the position of the gate valve and assure that it is open as in the illustration.

4. Adjust the gate valve as necessary.
5. If adjustment is not sufficient to keep the gate valve open as illustrated, replace the Air Valve.
