Installation

1AR-FE COOLING: WATER PUMP: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new gasket and the water pump with the 7 bolts.

Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly
3. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Installation
4. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Installation
5. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:  When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK See: Cooling System/Testing and Inspection
9. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation

10. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
11. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation
