Removal

2GR-FE COOLING: WATER PUMP: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

2. INSTALL ENGINE ON ENGINE STAND

3. REMOVE ENGINE HANGER   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Unit/Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH   See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Disassembly

5. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Unit/Removal

6. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Unit/Removal

7. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING   See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Disassembly

8. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

(a) Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.

9. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 16 bolts, water pump assembly and water pump gasket.
