(a) Inspect actuator operation.

(1) Remove the inlet No. 2 air cleaner    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal.

(2) With 27 kPa (200 mmHg, 7.88 in. Hg) of vacuum applied to the actuator, check that the actuator rod moves.

(3) One minute after applying the vacuum, check that the actuator rod does not return.

If the operation is not as specified, replace the air cleaner assembly.

(4) Install the inlet No. 2 air cleaner    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine
