(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector from the rear speed sensor.

NOTICE:  Be careful not to damage the rear speed sensor.

4. SEPARATE REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Rear

5. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY See: Parking Brake System/Service and Repair/Disassembly
6. REMOVE REAR DISC See: Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Rear Brake/Removal
7. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Service and Repair/Rear Axle Hub/Removal.

HINT:
-

The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle hub and
bearing assembly.

If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

Installation

The following procedure is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Service and Repair/Rear Axle Hub/Installation.

4. INSTALL REAR DISC See: Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Rear Brake/Installation
5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY See: Parking Brake System/Service and Repair/Reassembly
6. INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Rear Shock
