Removal

U760E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

2. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET

(a) Separate the wire harness clamp.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner bracket.

7. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the clip from the transmission control cable bracket.
(b) Remove the nut and transmission control cable from the control shaft lever.
(c) Disconnect the connector from the park/neutral position switch.

(d) Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever from the control shaft.
