Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
Removal

2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH HOSE   See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

7. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

(b) Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket.
