Fuel Gauge Sender: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly (For Sedan)

INSPECTION 

1. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

a. Check the fuel sender gauge resistance.

1. Check that the float moves smoothly between the F level (upper end) and E level (lower end).

2. Using an ohmmeter measure the resistance between connector terminals 2 (FS) and 1 (FE) at the upper and lower ends of the float. Check

that the resistance varies uniformly.

If the result is not as specified replace the fuel sender gauge assembly.
