Brake Proportioning Valve, Check and Adjust, Tandem Version - Load-dependent (Convertible and Saloon)

Function and adjustment of the load-dependent tandem brake proportioning valve on unladen vehicle (unladen weight, luggage compartment unladen, tank maximum half full), standing on wheels.  

For vehicles with level regulation the minimum overpressure in the unit : 0,8 bar.

Fully depress brake pedal and quickly release. If lever (arrow) does not move, replace the brake proportioning valve.

Adjustment of brake proportioning valve:  

Press lever (1) up to stop in direction of travel. Tension spring (2) must lie free of play and free of tension in plastic bearings (3).  

If necessary, correct spring tension.

Slightly loosen retaining angle (4) at rear axle (arrow) and push forwards or backwards as required.  

If the retaining angle is pushed back, pre-tension of the springs decreases. If the retaining angle is pushed forwards, pre-tension of the springs increases.
