Signal too large:

·   The wheel speed information at the rear left wheel speed sensor input is > 280 km/h (174 mph).

·   The fault is stored after maximum 1 s.

or

Signal to ground, input open, no signal:

·   Brake not actuated

·   ETC function switched on

·   Vehicle speed greater than approx. 10 km/h (6 mph) (wheel speed information from a correct signal)

·   The wheel speed signal at the rear left wheel speed sensor input is zero and the wheel speed signal of another wheel speed sensor input is greater than approx. 10 km/h (6 mph)

·   The fault is stored after maximum 20 s.

Note:     Faults are recognized at 1, 2 and 3 wheel speed inputs, whether they fail simultaneously or sequentially. Simultaneous failure of all four wheel speed signals cannot be recognized.
