· Short circuit to ground or battery
voltage in final stage, outside of control unit in ETC servo motor or in its
leads.
· The fault is stored after maximum
approx. 1 s.
On fault recognition, the procedure is as follows:
With a short circuit to ground, the final stage transistors
switching to positive are deactivated; with a short circuit to battery
voltage, the final stage transistors switching to ground are deactivated. If
the short circuit signal remains active although the final stages are
switched off, the safety relay is then switched off. The ETC system is
switched off and the ETC telltale is activated.
