1.4 / 1.6 ltr. engines except 16 LZ2 2) 
: Detach wiring harness plug (1) from coolant temperature sender and remove coolant temperature sender. Top up coolant until it emerges without bubbles from bore for temperature sensor. Coolant temperature sender to intake manifold - tightening torque 10 Nm/7 lbf. ft. Connect wiring harness plug.  

All engines: Fill the coolant up to the mark (2) of the coolant expansion tank. After closing the cooling system, run the engine warm until the thermostat opens (approx. 92 ° C coolant temperature). Let the engine cool and check coolant level. If necessary, top up to the "cold" mark on the coolant expansion tank.

1)  Mixture ratio of 50 % water and 50 % antifreeze must be guaranteed.  

2)  For 1.8 / 2.0 ltr. engine and 16 LZ2, the cooling system vents during the warm-up phase of the engine.
