OHC Turbodiesel Engine X 17 DTL
Summary
As of Model Year 1995, the Astra-F is available with a new turbodiesel engine.
The X 17 DTL OHC turbodiesel engine has minimal forced induction for economy and ecological compatibility.
It is based on the familiar 17 DR OHC engine.
The most important features are:
- Low exhaust emissions, conforms to the exhaust gas stipulations planned for 1996, 94/12/EEC - Exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) - Charge pressure-dependent full load stop (CPD) - Fast preheater system with post-heating capability - High torque at low engine speeds
