Control Unit Solenoid Valve, Remove and Install  

  Important!   

If the solenoid valve control unit is being replaced, it must be reprogrammed - see corresponding Checking Procedures.  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove injection lines with KM-812 - collect escaping fuel in suitable container. Disconnect control unit solenoid valve wiring harness plug (1).  

Drill out fastening bolts (arrows) - carefully cover connections for injection lines. Remove control unit solenoid valve from fuel injection pump, and disconnect wiring harness plug from fuel feed solenoid valve. Remove control unit solenoid valve.     Install, Connect    Fasten wiring harness plug to fuel feed solenoid valve. Install control unit solenoid valve with new fastening bolts. Tighten fastening bolts until bolt heads shear off.   Connect wiring harness plug for control unit solenoid valve. Connect injection lines with KM-812 to fuel injection pump and install injectors- tightening torque - 25 Nm/18.5 lbf. ft.
