Notes for Trouble-shooting:

 

Nominal Value:

Cause of Fault:

 

·   Inition ON

·   Remove plug from throttle valve potentiometer

> 4.9 V

 

·   Short circuit between signal lead Ter.3 and ground

·   Short circuit to ground in control unit lead Ter.53 to throttle valve potentiometer Ter.3

·   Control unit defective

 

 

·   Bridge Ter.3 with Ter.1 on throttle valve potentiometer plug with adapter lead from KM-609

 

0 ... 0.1 V

·   Lead interruption from

-    Control unit Ter.30 to throttle valve potentiometer Ter. 1

-    Control unit Ter.53 to throttle valve potentiometer Ter.3

·   Control unit defective

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage between Ter.2 and Ter.1 in throttle valve potentiometer plug

 

> 4.9 V

·   Lead interruption or short circuit to throttle valve potentiometer plug Ter.2 ground from control unit Ter.12 to

 

 

     Nominal values are attained

 

·   Throttle valve potentiometer defective
