Note:

In test steps 03 (SIM. IDLE POS. SW) and 04 (SIM. FULL POS. SW), the Motronic control unit uses the throttle valve potentiometer signal to calculate a simulation for the throttle valve switch idle and full load contacts.

The Motronic control unit needs this information for the idle air control (SIM. IDLE POS. SW) and for the full load enrichment and oxygen sensor control Cutoff (SIM. FULL POS. SW).

·   Disconnect plug from throttle valve potentiometer P 34 (C 25 XE: removal of P 34 required).

     and Ter. 2 (ground)

·   Short circuit to ground in lead from control unit K 61 / Ter. 53 to throttle valve potentiometer P 34 / Ter. 3

·   Control unit K 61 defective

 

·   Bridge Ter. 2 with Ter. 3 in throttle valve potentiometer plug

 

less than 0,1 V

 

 

·   Lead interruption from

     -      control unit K 61 / Ter. 30 to throttle

            valve potentiometer Ter. 1

     -      control unit K 61 / Ter. 53 to throttle valve potentiometer Ter. 3
