Notes on Trouble-shooting:

Nominal Value:

Cause of fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from:

     K57 engine control unit

·   Ignition ON

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

     from:       K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. A8

     to:           ground

·   AC switch OFF

lower than 0.1 V

·   Short circuit to voltage

     from:       K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. A8

     to:           K26 fan relay Ter. 3

     to:           S101 compressor switch Ter. A (Corsa- B, Tigra)

     to:           S101 compressor switch Ter. 4 (Astra- F)

·   S101 compressor switch defective

·   AC switch ON

higher than 11 V

·   F15, F20 fuse defective (Corsa- B, Tigra)

·   F14, F21 fuse defective (Astra- F)

·   Short circuit to ground or circuit interruption

     from:       K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. A8

     to:           K26 fan relay Ter. 3

     to:           S101 compressor switch Ter. A (Corsa- B, Tigra)

     to:           S101 compressor switch Ter. 4 (Astra- F)

·   S101 compressor switch defective

·   Defect in circuit K6 AC relay (see Air Conditioning Checking Procedures, test step 07)

If nominal values are attained

·   K57 engine control unit defective
