Engine running at idle speed, operating temperature

Vehicle stationary

 

Press key F6 in the system main menu, select the reset mode with F1. Select the desired control unit reset using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

 

 

F0:DATA LIST nos: 36, 38 and 40

X 14 XE /  X 16 XE MT:

X 16 XEL MT:

X 14 XE AT:            Selector lever position "P"

X 14 XE AT:            Selector lever position "D"

This reset can only be performed if

no trouble codes are stored

the battery voltage is higher than 12.5 V

the coolant temperature is higher than 80 °C/ 176 °F

the vehicle speed equals 0 km/h (0 mph)

the idle speed conditions are fulfilled (see F0:DATA LIST nos. 05, 06, 34 and 42):

IAC CNTR. ENABLE: ACTIVE

 

 

Note:

Once the nominal idle speed has been reset, F0:DATA LIST no.: 37 or 39 and 41 must display INACTIVE. The display may only change back to ACTIVE if the nominal idle speed has been altered.
