Throttle Body, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL)  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove upper part of intake manifold - see operation "Intake Manifold - Upper Part, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL)".  

Detach air intake pipe from throttle body and upper part of air cleaner housing - see operation "Air Intake Pipe, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL)".  

Remove connection port from throttle body.  

Disconnect cable duct (1) from throttle body and lay aside to the rear.  

Detach accelerator Bowden cable from curved disc and bracket and lay aside to the rear.  

Remove fastening bolt (2) and lay aside throttle body downwards.  

Slightly twist throttle body and remove coolant hoses (3) - Mark installation positions. Detach wiring harness plug (5) from idle speed stepper motor, and detach wiring harness plug (4) from throttle valve potentiometer.  

Remove throttle body.

Notice: 

When replacing throttle body: replace attaching parts.  

Object Number: 616195  Size: DEFAULT  Clean   

Clean sealing surfaces and remove sealant remnants.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Attach wiring harness plug to throttle valve potentiometer and idle speed stepper motor.  

Attach coolant hoses to throttle body - note installation position.  

Install throttle valve connection with new gasket at throttle valve connection flange - tightening torque 8 Nm/6 lbf. ft.  

Attach accelerator Bowden cable to curved disc and bracket.  

Attach cable duct, connection port and air intake pipe to throttle body.  

Install upper part of intake manifold - see operation "Intake Manifold - Upper Part, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL)".  

Object Number: 616196  Size: DEFAULT  Inspect   

Cooling system - see operations "Cooling System, Top Up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
