· This
value is not an actually measured value; it is an ignition value taken from
the control unit. It is used primarily to improve understanding of the
system. All consumers should be switched off.
· If
the firing angle values read by TECH 1 deviate significantly from the
above nominal values, check various sensor input signals:
1. Intake manifold pressure sensor
2. Throttle valve potentiometer
3. Intake air temperature
4. Coolant temperature
5. Selector lever in position "P" or
"N" (AT)
6. Exhaust gas recirculation system
7. Controlled canister purge system
8. Knock control system
9. Ground connection, direct ignition system to
intake manifold
