Throttle Valve Injection Housing, Remove and Install
Important!
Fuel escapes - observe safety and local regulations. Fuel system is under pressure. Remove fuel pump relay - see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install". Start engine at least 5 sec. - fuel pressure reduction.
Remove, Disconnect
Remove air intake hood - note gasket.
Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from injection valve, wiring harness plug (2) from throttle valve potentiometer and wiring harness plug (6) from idle speed stepper motor. Remove fuel supply line (3) and fuel return line (4) from throttle valve connection. Remove throttle valve actuating rod (7). With X 16 SZR: Disconnect vacuum hose (5) to intake pipe pressure sensor from throttle valve injection housing.
Unscrew fastening nuts (8) and remove throttle valve injection housing from intake manifold.
Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residue.
Install, Connect
Install throttle plate injection housing with new seal on induction manifold - tightening torque 22 Nm. Insert fastening nuts with locking agent (red).
For 16 NZR and X 16 SZR: Connect vacuum hose intake pipe pressure sensor to vacuum connection (1).
Attach throttle valve actuation rod. Attach fuel feed line and fuel return line to throttle body. Connect wiring harness plugs to injectors, wiring harness plug to throttle valve potentiometer and wiring harness plug to idle speed stepper motor.
Install air intake hood - note gasket.
Install fuel pump relay - see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install".
Important!

Install, Connect
