CAMSHAFT SENSOR INCORRECT SIGNAL

-

·   On engine start, the voltage level change for the camshaft signal does not occur between the 1st and the 6th crankshaft teeth

·   If trouble code 92 and engine speed higher than 8000 rpm were recognised, trouble code 19 (crankshaft fault) is also stored

(short circuit of signal lead to oscillator lead)

(short circuit to ground or circuit interruption)

·   Conditions must be fulfilled for at least 3.5 s

Replacement values:

Emergency operation:

·   During the engine warm-up phase, the engine speed is limited to 4512 rpm, the ignition is retarded by 12 °CA and knock control is blocked. In operation, the engine runs without limitation

Note:

An abrupt failure of the camshaft signal in operation (without loose contact) can only be recognised the next time the engine is started.

Emergency operation remains active until the next "ignition OFF".
