Note:    The firing angle is a value calculated by the control unit and is influenced by various other parameters

              (e. g. coolant temperature, intake air temperature, idle speed stabilizing).

The firing angle cannot be adjusted by the mechanic.

The nominal value range for the above test conditions applies at a normal ambient temperature of approx. 20 °C / 68 °F

(intake air temperature lower than 40 °C / 104 °F). If there are deviations in the temperature or if the engine has been running at idle speed for an extended period of time, the firing angle may move in the range

              - 2 to 14 °CA (Astra - F)

              - 5 to 16 °CA (Omega - B)

              - 0 to 10 °CA (Vectra / Cavalier, Calibre).
