Note: The firing angle is
a value calculated by the control unit and is influenced by various other
parameters
(e. g. coolant
temperature, intake air temperature, idle speed stabilizing).
The firing angle
cannot be adjusted by the mechanic.
The nominal value
range for the above test conditions applies at a normal ambient temperature
of approx. 20 °C / 68 °F
(intake air
temperature lower than 40 °C / 104 °F). If there are
deviations in the temperature or if the engine has been running at idle speed
for an extended period of time, the firing angle may move in the range
- 2 to
14 °CA (Astra - F)
- 5 to
16 °CA (Omega - B)
- 0 to
10 °CA (Vectra / Cavalier, Calibre).
