Note:   Before commencing trouble - shooting as described below, carry out a quick check with F5: ACTUATOR TEST, no. 03.

              If the results of this test are negative, proceed with trouble - shooting as described below.

Astra - F, Vectra / Cavalier, Calibra:

 

·     Ignition Off. Disconnect fuel pump relay K68.

       Using multimeter, measure voltage at relay base Ter. 2 (Ter. 30) and Ter. 3 (Ter. 86) to ground.

 

·     Disconnect plug from control unit K69.

       Using multimeter, check lead connections from control unit plug to fuel pump relay base for passage between

 

 

 

 

 

greater than 11.5 V

 

 

 

 

 

 

·     Lead interruption to + battery voltage

 

       -      Ter. 15 and Ter. 9 (Ter. 85B)

       -      Ter. 37146 and Ter. 8 (Ter. 87)

       -      Ter. 16 and Ter. 1 (Ter. 85)

       -      and for short circuit combinations thereof

 

Further possible faults

 

 

 

Omega - B

 

·     Ignition Off. Disconnect reverse battery protection relay K42 and fuel pump relay K44.

·     Fuel pump relay K 68 defective.

·     Control unit K69 defective

 

       Using multimeter, measure voltage at relay base K42 / Ter. 2 (30) and Ter. 4 (86) and at relay base K44 / Ter. 2 to ground

 

Further possible faults:

 

·     Disconnect plug from control unit K69.

       Using multimeter, check lead connections from control unit plug K69 to specified relay bases for passage between

greater than 11.5 V

·     Lead interruption to + battery voltage

 

       -      Ter. 15 and K44 / Ter. 6 (Ter. 85)

       -      Ter. 37146 and K42 / Ter. 8 (Ter. 87)

       -      Ter. 37146 and K44 / Ter. 4 (Ter. 86)

       -      Ter. 16 and K42 / Ter. 6 (Ter. 85)

       -      and for short circuit combinations thereof
