KNOCK SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE

·     Coolant temperature higher than 35 °C / 95 °F (C 18 XE) or higher than 30 °C / 86 °F (X 20 XEV)

·     Engine speed higher than 1984 rpm

·     Knock sensor signal (noise value) greater than 4.5 V (C 18 XE) or greater than 4.6 V (X 20 XEV)

·     Air mass greater than 0.1 9 g / stroke

·     Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 2.0 s

Replacement values:

·     The control unit retards the firing angle by 12 °CA for reasons of safety

Effects:

·     The knock control is switched off
