Flywheel, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

The gearbox has to be removed, depending on the diameter and thickness of the flywheel - see operation "Gearbox, Remove and Install" in assembly "K". Remove clutch - see operation "Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate, Remove and Install" in assembly "K".  

With transmission removed: lock flywheel with KM-652 (1). With transmission installed: lock flywheel with KM-517-B. Remove flywheel from crankshaft.     Recut thread in crankshaft.     Install, Connect    Attach flywheel to crankshaft with new bolts - 35 Nm/26 lbf. ft. + 30 ° + 15 ° 1) or 60 Nm + 30 ° + 15 ° 2) .   Install clutch thrust plate - see operation "Clutch Disc and Thrust Plate, Remove and Install" in group "K". Transmission removed: install transmission - see operation "Manual Transmission and Differential, Remove and Install " in group "K".

1)  1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. engines except 16 LZ2.  

2)  1.8 / 2.0 Ltr. engines and 16 LZ2.
