Safety valve, replace > < Oil pump, remove and install

Oil Pump, Check  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove oil pump - see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install".  

Remove safety valve (1) and oil pump cover (2) from oil pump.  

Object Number: 616195 Size: DEFAULT  Clean   

Clean all parts.  

Object Number: 616196 Size: DEFAULT  Inspect   

Check oil pump, oil pump cover and safety valve for signs of wear. Check indentation of gear pair with feeler gauge (4) and straightedge (3).  

Gap, gear pair:  

1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. engines except 16 LZ2  

0.08 to 0.15 mm  

1.8 / 2.0 Ltr. engines and 16 LZ2  

0.03 to 0.10 mm

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Install oil pump cover on oil pump - tightening torque 6 Nm.  

Attach safety valve with new seal ring to oil pan - tightening torque 30 Nm/22 lbf. ft.  

Install oil pump - see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install".
