Fit replacement sealing ring in the camshaft
housing, front
 Remove
Remove toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and
Install (1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. Engines except 16 LZ2)", "Toothed Belt,
Remove and Install (1.8 / 2.0 Ltr. Engines up to MY '93)" or
"Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (1.8 / 2.0 Ltr. Engines as of MY
'93 and 16 LZ2)".

Release fixing bolts (3) from KM-6347. Insert KM-6347 (1) into
camshaft pulley in conjunction with KM-956-1 (2) - ensure they are
seated correctly.
Note: Grooves of
KM-6347 must engage in the camshaft pulley.
Turn KM-6347 in the direction of the arrow and tighten the
fixing bolts. Release fastening bolt (4) from camshaft pulley.
Release fixing bolts from KM-6347 and remove KM-6347. Remove
fastening bolt from camshaft pulley and take out camshaft
pulley.

Install
|

Prise up sealing ring (1) with suitable tool - do not damage
sealing surfaces.
Lightly coat the sealing lip on the sealing ring with silicone
grease (white). Press sealing ring with KM-422 into the camshaft
housing - use bolt and pulley of the camshaft pulley.

Fit fastening bolt on camshaft pulley - do not tighten fully.
Insert KM-6347 in camshaft pulley in conjunction with KM-956-1 -
ensure they are seated correctly.
Note: Grooves of
KM-6347 must engage in the camshaft pulley.
Turn KM-6347 in the direction of the arrow and tighten the
fixing bolts. Tighten fastening bolt on camshaft pulley.
Release fixing bolts from KM-6347 and remove KM-6347.
Tightening torque
Camshaft pulley to camshaft - 45 Nm/33 lbf. ft.
Install toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and
Install (1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. Engines except 16 LZ2)", "Toothed Belt,
Remove and Install (1.8 / 2.0 Ltr. Engines up to MY '93)" or
"Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (1.8 / 2.0 Ltr. Engines as of MY
'93 and 16 LZ2)".
