Toothed Belt Tension, Check (1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. Engines except 16 LZ2) Notice: The inspection takes place with the engine cold - room temperature.
 Remove, Disconnect Remove toothed belt cover - see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install (1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. Engines except 16 LZ2)".
 Adjust Turn crankshaft in engine rotational direction until pointer (3) on toothed belt drive gear aligns with mark on oil pump housing. Simultaneously, notch (2) on camshaft sprocket must align with mark (1) on rear belt cover.
 Inspect The toothed belt tension is correctly adjusted when the pointer (4) of the movable part of the toothed belt tension roller aligns with the notch (arrow). |

Inspect If the toothed belt tension is not correctly adjusted - see operation "Toothed Belt Tension, Adjust (1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. Engines except 16 LZ2)".
 Install, Connect Install toothed belt cover - see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install (1.4 / 1.6 Ltr. Engines except 16 LZ2)".
