TPS SIGNAL

AF 14/20 automatic transmission with 16 SV, 18 SV engine (EI Plus control unit) or with C 20 NE, 20 NE engine (Motronic ML 4.1; Model Year '89)

Ignition ON

Engine OFF

Apply parking brake

Engine throttle valve CLOSED (accelerator pedal in idle position)

Engine throttle valve OPEN (accelerator pedal fully depressed)

Note:

The throttle valve potentiometer is connected directly to the transmission control unit, i.e. the transmission control unit receives information about the throttle valve position directly from the potentiometer.
