automatic transmissions except:
AF 14/20
automatic transmission with 16 SV, 18 SV engines (EI Plus control unit) or
with C 20 NE, 20 NE engines (Motronic ML 4.1; Model Year '89); See trouble
code 21, 22
· At Ter. 25 the
transmission control unit recognizes no pulse width modulated signal or one
which is outside of the permitted range;
the Low level (less than 0.1 V) of the PWM signal occurs for
less than 0.15 ms or for longer than 9.3 ms;
(invalid pulse width or frequency)
· The above conditions must
be fulfilled for at least 4 s
If trouble
code 76 was recognized, shifting can still be made manually (emergency
program) to the following gears at the individual driving speeds:
Automatic
Transmission AF 14/20:
"Driving
stage" (gear): "D" (4), "3" (3), "2" (3),
"1" (1)
Automatic
Transmission AF 13/22:
"Driving
stage" (gear): "D" (4), "3" (4), "2" (3),
