Drive Shaft and/or Ball Bearing, Replace  

 

1  Drive shaft with gear cluster   2  Retaining ring   3  Ball bearing (closed)

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove end shield - see operation "Gasket for End Shield, Replace".  

Disassemble end shield - see operation "End Shield, Disassemble and Assemble" - F 10/F 13/F 18/F 18+/F 20" and "End Shield, Disassemble and Assemble - F 15".  

Notice: 

For damage to teeth of gear wheel cluster replace the relevant gear wheel on the transmission shaft.  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Press ball bearing (2) off from gear cluster - note installation position:   F 10/F 13   - with suitable pipe,   F 15/F 16/F 18/F 18+/F 20   - with KM-407-A (1).     Remove retaining ring.

  Install, Connect   

Press new retaining ring onto drive shaft and ball bearing:  

F 10/F 13/ F 15 - with KM-311/2 (1)   F 16/F18/F 18+/F 20 - with KM-334.   Assemble end shield - see operation "End Shield, Disassemble and Assemble - F 10/F 13/F 18/F 18+/F 20" and " End Shield, Disassemble and Assemble - F 15".   Install end shield - see operation "Gasket for End Shield, Replace".
