Differential, Overhaul Differential, Removal and Install (F 10, F 13, F 15)
 Remove, Disconnect Installed transmission. Drive shaft from transmission - refer work instruction "Replacing Drive Shaft Sealing Rings". Differential cover from transmission. Marking of bearing ring relative to transmission (arrow). For F 15: End shield from transmission housing (pull out approx. 10 mm) - refer work instruction "Replacement of Gasket for End Shield".
 Inspect With F 10/13/15: Play of tapered roller bearing. Move differential housing in axial direction. Consider any play when assembling - see operation "Prescribed Adjustment of Tapered Roller Bearing (Differential)".
Remove, Disconnect Retaining plate (1) from bearing ring. Remove bearing ring from transmission using KM-447 (2). Remove differential from transmission. |

 Install, Connect Mounting differential into differential housing (2nd Mechanic). Smear thread and O-ring with all purpose grease. The union must be oil tight. Screw bearing ring into differential housing with KM-447 (1). For F 15 Install end shield - see operation "Gasket for End Shield Replace".

Install, Connect Install axle shafts - see operation "Axle Shaft Seal Ring, Replace".
