Fuel Filler Pipe > < Active carbon canister remove and install

 

Electric Fuel Pump, Remove and Install  

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Empty fuel tank and fuel system. Fuel pump - refer Catalogue "Opel/Vauxhall Workshop equipment".  

Run drained fuel into a suitable sealable container. Follow safety instructions and country specific regulations.  

Notice: 

Illustration F 8228 shows the installation position of the fuel pump assembly in the Estate.  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Mark installation position of fuel pump assembly.  

Saloon: Fold up rear seat and fold back carpet at cut section. Remove plastic cover from assembly aperture in floor panel.  

Disconnect wiring harness plug of fuel pump (2) and close off fuel hose (1) with spring clamp. Detach hose clamp and detach fuel hose.  

Remove fastening bolts and remove fuel pump assembly.

Object Number: 616193  Size: DEFAULT  Disassemble   

Detach hose clamp (1) - detach fuel hose and fuel screen from pump.  

Mark and unsolder electrical connections (2). Remove fuel pump from rubber sleeve.  

Object Number: 616194  Size: DEFAULT  Assemble   

Insert fuel pump in rubber sleeve and solder on electrical connections - note mark (polarity). Attach fuel hose to fuel pump and fasten with hose clamp. Attach fuel screen to fuel pump.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Assemble fuel pump with new gasket - Note assembly position - Insert bolts with locking agent (red) and use new shims - Tightening torque 2.5 Nm.  

Connect fuel hose and fasten with hose clamp. Remove spring clamp and connect wiring harness plug.
