Fuel Tank Sensor, Replace  

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Empty fuel tank and fuel system. Fuel pump - refer Catalogue "Opel/Vauxhall Workshop equipment". Run drained fuel into a suitable sealable container. Follow safety instructions and country specific regulations.  

For 14 NV, 17 D, 17 DR and 17 DT (TC 4EE1), there are two fuel connections on the fuel tank sensor.  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Detach wiring harness plug and close off fuel hose(s) with spring clamps, detach hose clamps and detach fuel hose(s).  

Plastic fuel tank sensor with protective cover:  

Object Number: 2383552  Size: DEFAULT

Remove protective cover (1) together with wiring harness plug (2).  

Object Number: 2383812  Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Mark installation position of fuel tank sensor.  

Remove fuel tank sensor from fuel tank with KM-332-B.  

Vehicles with petrol injection engines: remove return hose (1) as well.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Vehicles with petrol injection engines: attach return hose to fuel tank sensor.  

Attach fuel tank sensor to fuel tank with new seal ring - use KM-332-B - note installation position.  

Plastic fuel tank sensor version with protective cover: attach protective cover together with wiring harness plug.  

Attach fuel hoses and fasten with clamps. Remove spring clamps and plug in wiring harness plug.  

Notice: 

The metal fuel tank sensor can be replaced by a plastic one without additional assembly work.
