 Important! For Multec Injection systems: Removing fuel pump fuel pressure relief relay (1) - refer works instruction "Relay-Fuel pump removal and fitting" in Construction group "J". Run motor for minimum of 5 Secs - Note safety instructions and country specific regulations. For Multec S, Motronic and Simtec Injection systems: Reduce fuel pressure at test connection with fuel pressure manometer KM-J-34730-91 - catch draining fuel in suitable container - Note safety instructions and country specific regulations. |

 Remove, Disconnect For Motor C 20 XE: removing precombustion chamber - refer works instruction "Precombustion chamber removal and fitting (M 2.5, M 2.8)" in Construction group "J". If required: Remove air suction hose or air suction dome. Clamp front fuel line (1) with spring clamp and remove from throttle valve connection. For Vehicles with Diesel Motor: Remove wiring harness plug (2) from temperature switch. Clamp fuel line (3) with spring clamp and disconnect from single box filter. |

Remove, Disconnect Detach fuel line mounting (2) from steering gear retaining clip and unclip fuel lines from fire wall clips (1) and (3). |

Remove, Disconnect Clamp front fuel line (4) with spring clamp and remove from fuel filter (3). Clamp rear fuel line (2) with spring clamp. Remove rear fuel line from fuel filter and electric fuel pump (1). For vehicles with Motor 14 V, 17 D, 17 DR and 17 DT (TC 4 EE 1): Clamp fuel line (5) with spring clamp and remove from fuel sensor - Arrow on cover shows fuel flow direction. Unclip and remove fuel lines from underbody mounting. |

 Install, Connect Insert and clip fuel lines into underbody mounting. For Vehicles with Motor 14 V, 17 D, 17 DR and 17 DT (TC 4 EE 1): Attach fuel line to fuel sensor and remove spring clamp. Attach rear fuel line to electric fuel pump and fuel filter. Remove spring clamp. Attach front fuel line to fuel filter and remove spring clamp. Clip fuel lines to firewall mounting and attach fuel line mounting to steering gear retaining clip. For vehicles with Diesel-Motor: Attach fuel line to single box filter and remove spring clamp. Plug cable harness into temperature switch. Attach front fuel line to throttle valve connection and remove spring clamp. If required: Attach air suction hose or air suction dome. For Motor C 20 XE: Fitting precombustion chamber - refer works instruction " Precombustion chamber removal and fitting (M 2.5, M 2.8)" in Construction group "J".

Clip fuel lines into fire wall mounting and attach fuel line mounting to steering gear retaining clip attach. For vehicles with diesel-motor: Attach fuel return line to injection pump and remove spring clamp. Attach fuel return line to throttle valve connection and remove spring clamp. If required: Attach air suction hose or air suction dome.
