Metal Pipe, Secondary Air, Remove and Install (X 14 XE, X 16 XEL)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove secondary air combination valve - see operation "Combination Valve, Secondary Air, Remove and Install (X 14 XE, X 16 XEL)".   Remove fastening bolts (2) for metal pipe support from metal pipe bracket and exhaust manifold and fastening bolts (1) for heat shield from exhaust manifold. Remove heat shield. Remove secondary air metal pipe from exhaust manifold.     Clean    Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residue.     Install, Connect

Attach secondary air metal pipe to exhaust manifold using new gasket - Insert fastening bolts with locking agent (white) - Tightening torque 20 Nm. Attach heat shield to exhaust manifold - Tightening torque 8 Nm. Attach metal pipe support to exhaust manifold and to metal pipe bracket - Tightening torque- 8 Nm.
